An orientation program for the newly admitted 2017-2018 B.Pharm batch was held at the I.T.S College of Pharmacy on 12th August, 2017 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Mini Auditorium (Dental Block). The chief guest of the day was Dr Robin Kumar , Principal Scientific Officer, Indian Pharmacopeia Commission, Ministry of health & family welfare.
The session began with a welcome speech emphasizing on the role of pharmacist in society by the Director, Dr S. Sadish Kumar which was then followed by an enthralling talk highlighting the scope of pharmacy education by Dr Robin Kumar. Mr. D.S. Jolly (Administrator-I.T.S-P.M.C), Dr. Fanish kumar Pandey (Principal, Dept of Biotechnology) and Dr. C.S.Ram (Director, Dept of Physiotherapy) also graced the occasion with their presence and further motivated the students with their encouraging speeches. Ms. Gurvindar Kaur (Asst. Prof.) gave a presentation about profession of Pharmacy, detailing infrastructure and facilities at ITS. Mr Rajiv Malhotra (HCR & MA) gave an informative presentation on the wide arrays of job opportunities for B.Pharm graduates. The session further progressed with a motivational speech by Ms. Rachna Kakkar, Counsellor - ITS The Education group.
The programme ended up with a vote of thanks by Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma (Associate Prof.). The Programme was coordinated by Ms. Nidhi Tyagi, Ms. Smriti Sahu, Ms. Anandi Kapri, Ms. Neelam Singh (Asst. Prof.).
