The Machine Room provides practical exposure to fundamental pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. It is equipped with a wide range of processing and production equipment, including manual and automatic tablet punching machines, capsule filling machines, coating pans, ointment mills, liquid filling machines, ampoule washing and sealing machines, ball mills, double cone blenders, and mixer-cum-grinders. The facility also includes equipment for studying fluid flow and frictional losses. Additional major instruments include homogenisers, bottle-washing machine, tray dryer, sieve shaker, fluidised-bed dryer and coater, all-purpose processing equipment with accessories, and a vacuum oven, enabling students to gain hands-on experience with industrial-scale pharmaceutical machinery.
