DST sponsored 3-day Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC)
Department of Science & Technology sponsored Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp was organized by I.T.S, Mohan Nagar at I.T.S College of Pharmacy, Murad Nagar from 8th November, 2017. It was attended by 98 B.Pharm. III and IV year students. In this camp renowned speakers, successful entrepreneurs, Government officials addressed the students. The students got exposure to the latest market trends and various government schemes available to set up an enterprise. Students acquired knowledge about the concept of entrepreneurship, identification of business ideas so that they could be job providers rather than job seekers.

The program started with the welcome address by Dr. S. Sadish Kumar (Director - Pharmacy) who briefed about the Past, Present & Future roles of entrepreneurs in the society. The guest Dr. Vidya Sekhri (Director – UG), I.T.S-Mohan Nagar Campus took the first session on financial aspects of SSI units. Mr. Sanjay Kumar (Advisor of Skill Development entrepreneurship at Delhi Productivity) motivated students to become an entrepreneur. Mr. Roshan Kumar, (GIS consultant Mapmy India) talked about Role of Information Technology in Health Care. Vote of thanks was given by Ms. Sonam Khandelwal (Asst. Prof.)

Mr. Shivam Dixit (Cofounder and Director of IoTfy) talked on Business Opportunities available in the market while Dr. Chander Sabharwal (Senior Professor and Director,ISK Biosciences India Pvt. Ltd.-Japanese MNC) talked about sensing business oppurtunities leading to successful entrepreneurship. The event was culminated with the distribution of participation certificates to students. The event was coordinated by Dr. Shalini K. Sawhney (Assoc. Prof.), and assisted by Mr. Alok Pratap Singh (Asst. Prof.), Ms. Moumita Barman (Asst. Prof.), Dr. Nitin (Asst. Prof.), Ms. Sagarika Majhi (Asst. Prof.) & Ms. Rosaline Mishra (Asst. Prof.). All the speakers were presented with good luck plants.

87 students visited IDPL, Gurgaon for Industrial visit which was part of the camp. They were accompanied by Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma (Assoc. Prof.), Mr. Prasoon Kumar Saxena (Asst. Prof.), Ms. Gurvindar Kaur (Asst. Prof.), Ms. Anandi Kapri (Asst. Prof.), Mr. Rajiv Malhotra (HCR & MA) and Lab technicians Mr. Manveer & Mr. Rakesh. The students were shown every step of the formulation of dosage form. Students were exposed to various departments viz. Production, Quality control & Quality Assurance. Students gained immense knowledge from the Industrial visit.
