I.T.S College of Pharmacy organized a guest lecture on “4th Industrial Revolution & Artificial Intelligence: Transformations in Pharma & Healthcare Industry” by Dr. Puneet Gupta, Corporate Training Coordinator and Associated Faculty, Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh on 8th November 2019 at Mini auditorium. He has an experience of more than a decade as a Pharmaceutical Teacher and Researcher, Social worker, Organizer of various National/International Conferences/Seminar/FDPs across India. He is Consultant to Pharma and IT Companies, dealt with numerous Clients from India and abroad.
Dr. Gupta emphasized on automation, digitalization, big data & artificial intelligence in 4th Industrial revolution. He covered transformations in Pharma & Healthcare industries, their partnering with IT giants to develop AI technology to cater healthcare needs, barriers in adoption of AI and carrier opportunities in the sector. He gave a comparative overview of conventional and AI technology in Pharma Manufacturing, Drug discovery & Research along with Cognitive Solutions & Big Data in healthcare, Disease Diagnostics and Personalised medicine. He also motivated students to gain knowledge in the area of AI, as it is the future of Pharma & Healthcare Industry, to achieve success in life.
Dr. Sadish Kumar S, (Director) thanked Dr. Puneet Gupta for his fabulous and thought provoking speech on Artificial Intelligence in Pharmaceutical Industries. Ms. Snigdha Bhardwaj (Assistant Professor) welcomed the guest speaker. The programme was coordinated by Ms. Neelam Singh (Assistant Professor), Ms. Meenakshi Sharma (Assistant Professor), Dr. Nidhi Tyagi (Assistant Professor) and Ms. Anandi Kapri (Assistant Professor). The lecture was attended by 3rd and 4th year Pharmacy students.
